During my 20 year career in the construction industry I have had the privilege of working for some amazing organisations, including McDonald's, Bupa Health Insurance and Sigma Healthcare.  Additionally, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse network of consultants, builders, tradespeople and industry experts from all over Australia and New Zealand. 

You may be wondering why I started a business that is geared towards healthcare professionals? I was surprised to discover that most healthcare professionals choose to engage a design and construct builder from start to finish. I suspect that this approach stems from the myth that a “D&C” builder will take all the pressure off and deliver the best results.

However, the most obvious drawback with this model is cost. Not only do you pay a premium, but the responsibility to monitor the builder throughout the construction process, still falls to the health professional. 

I founded Clinical Projects to provide healthcare professionals with an alternative client side model. Instead of having all your eggs in the builder’s basket, our client side project manager will take the lead by overseeing the design, documentation and approvals process. They then tender the project which ensures that our clients are receiving the best market prices available. We then engage the winning contractor on our client's behalf, guiding and monitoring their progress through the entire build process.

Put simply, the client side model works because it delivers quality results, savings and peace of mind knowing that your project is in expert hands.
